Skål International is the largest travel and tourism organization in the world. The exclusive membership is made up of executives in the tourism industry. Its monthly dinner meetings offer the members a venue for networking and discussion. Being made up of Tourism Professionals, the advantage of joining Skål is obvious.

By attending national and international congresses & other relating events, members are able to meet and network with Skålleagues from clubs throughout the world. SKAL INTERNATIONAL KOH SAMUI was officially installed as Skål Club # 679 on March 20, 2004. Since then, the club was represented at the annual Asian Area Congresses as well as the Skål World Congresses and has become the biggest Skål Club in Thailand with more than 100 members.

Main topics are to enhance tourism on Samui and network with other Skål clubs in order to do "Business among Friends".The biggest international event in the club's history was the hosting of the 37th Skål Asian Area Congress from May 21-25, 2008.

As a result of it’s generous attitude, Skal Samui has conquered the nickname “Champagne Club".
