Hans started his career as a cook, sous chef and Executive chef in Switzerland, El Salvador and Hong Kong, where he also co-organized the hotel school. Then he became GM in Boracay (Philippines) before he joined Lee Gardens in Indonesia and Bangkok. On Samui since 2000, he became GM at the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort before joining the Imperial Boathouse, which is the biggest hotel on Samui with a capacity of 220 rooms and extensive meeting facilities. Its unique asset are the rice barges which have been converted into deluxe suites. There are 2 pools, one of them boat-shaped. The deluxe rooms have large verandas offering beautiful views over the landscaped gardens. The hotel is located in the quiet and “elegant” area of the island.
